How to not be a moaning twat.

Moaners; I don’t mind them. Everyone enjoys a good moan, lets be honest. But the trick is to mix it up. Keep the moan fresh people. What leaves me wanting to poke eyes out are those crapper-oners that crap on and on and on and on about the same issues not just for weeks or months, but yes ladies and gents YEARS. Do you know what, my eyes have glazed over and all I’m thinking to myself is, shut the fuck up and DO something about it then. If I’m bored listening to it, you MUST be bored saying it.  Who is running your life? Take control, for the love of god!

You see, it’s all about solutions. I am  a solutions gal. I will happily sit and listen for hours about someone’s bastard husband or shitty teenager, in return I always like to try and find a solution or at least a way forward to make the problem a little bit less shit. And, so that I don’t have to listen to GroundHogMoan.

So, if you have found yourself moaning on about the same yawn-fest issue(s) for a year or more, fear not, here is my concise list of advice for you:

  1. Stop moaning about your husband, if he is that much of a pain in the arse then LEAVE HIM.
  2. You’re not going to leave him? Make more effort with him and less effort with your bitching.
  3. If you hate your job, do something about it; stop crapping on
  4. Quit whinging about your weight, to heavy? Shed it. Discipline.
  5. Enough with the SlappedArse face; act like a mardy cow long enough and you’ll only have SlappedArse face to keep you company.
  6. Wasting a good moan about the same self-centred friend? Cut.them.off. This friendship is more a ship, with a friend on it.
  7. Hate being a working Mother? You have a choice, there is no gun to your head.
  8. Hate staying at home with the kids? Stop dreaming, start doing.
  9. Can’t get the child care to cover your gazzilianth party or extra curricular activity? Maybe that’s because you have already exhausted all of your babysitting options 1000 favours ago. Why don’t YOU be there? Quit the whinging.
  10. Go and be awesome. We all have awesome in us, Locate yours and kick life’s butt.

 Life’s short.

Stop wasting precious time being a moaning twat.

I am a Muma to 2 little girls, aged 5 & 2. We are seaside dwellers, and I 'only work inside the house' according to my eldest. I love to share the funny side of parenting as well as boldly going where no right minded parents of toddlers would go: to restaurants. Seeking out the most child friendly joints and passing on my findings to all of you to enjoy! I'm basically blogging my way back to sanity!

  1. Totally – i realised a while ago I was complaining too much . Now I try and stop myself and ask can I do something about this ; change it , if I can. If I can’t , look at other things I can change to improve general situation !

    1. I totally agree with you- this post was a result of being on the end of a LOT of solvable moans!! Opps. You are right it’s easy to get stuck in a rut and feel helpless, obviously this straight talking is not for those!!!! It’s more for me to remember when I’m moaning about my husband for the hundredth time that day!

  4. Telling it like it is! I agree, it’s important to always try and see some positive rather than keep moaning on. It can be hard, but often a wake up call like seeing someone else in a far worse situation than yourself can pull you out of your moaning frenzy. #BigPinkLink x
